Welcome to the Sweet Paige!
We are so thankful we found you! I am Cameron Paige, Head Baker and Founder of Sweet Paige Bakery. Born and raised in Queens, New York, our small team specializes in custom sweet (and sometimes savory) treats for all of your special occasions.
As a Pastry Graduate, I tend to spend a lot of time thinking of new and innovative ideas to bring back to the kitchen. Since the age of 2, I have loved bringing a smile to everyone’s face with a tasty sweet treat. Most days I spend hours in the kitchen. There is just something so inspiring about how simple, fresh ingredients, coupled with a clear tried and true recipe excites me.
I remember helping my mother in the kitchen prepare some of our Puerto Rican treats that we would enjoy over the holidays. At the age of 8, my parents enrolled me in culinary school, Young Chef’s Academy, in Forest Hills, Queens. At the school, we prepared both savory and sweet items and I’ve always gravitated toward the sweet ones. Shortly after that, I decided that this was the path I wanted to continue to pursue. I started my business in February 2021 and have not looked back since.
As an entrepreneur, I wanted to focus on my brand and how we can get our products out to as many people as possible. In the summer of 2022, I joined the amazing food market: Smorgasburg in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We had a very successful summer and we look forward to finding more ways to get our treats out to others - including our dream of setting up our own storefront; maybe after I finish high school.
Our team looks forward to bringing you our amazing treats and having you as a part of our journey. You can follow that journey on Instagram at: @camssweetpaige for the most up-to-date information on what we’ve been up to in the kitchen.
What People Are Saying
Smorgasburg Williamsburg
During the Summer 2022 I had the honor of sharing my sweets at Smorgasburg, the largest weekly open-air food market in America, attracting thousands of people each weekend. It was one of the craziest yet coolest experience. Big time for learning as a 14 year old running a small business.
What is Cameron doing now??
Currently I am finishing Pastry School at Institute of Culinary Education. Where I spent the last 8 months expanding my knowledge on the pastry world. Getting real life restaurant experiences at Daniel in NYC. I’ve been learning how to properly organize mass production and inventory while learning from others who have been in the industry longer than me.
I’ve been planning to focus more on Sweet Paige once I am done with school. To put even more of my heart into creating beautiful baked goods for those celebrating anything and everything special to them. I want to continue to improve and learn to become an even better pastry chef and business owner.
I hope you enjoy following my journey as its already been such a fun ride! Can’t wait to see where Sweet Paige goes from here.
